Delaporte's 2021 Sancerre Chavignol is a classic cooler expression of Sauvignon in Sancerre with youthful aromas of lemon, gooseberry, crisp apples and green capsicum. While light in body, there is an element of weight and texture that augments the wine's volume and softens its edges. The finish is bright yet balanced but rather brief. However, an attractive chalky note persists, providing interest and tension.
