Domaine Chapel 2018 Fleurie Charbonnieres 750ml

The 2018 Fleurie Charbonnières wafts from the glass with high-toned aromas of raspberries, cherries, rose petals and licorice. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, with an ample core of fruit, succulent acids and a saline finish. This bottle flirts with volatility, but it's beautifully balanced, with real structural elegance, so I found much to admire. I'm looking forward to trying it again before too long to see if it settles down with a little bottle age. Drink 2019-2029
