Pale yellow. Mandarin orange, white pepper and acacia flower on the musky, very fresh nose. Glyceral on entry, then intense and vibrant in the middle, with classic flavors of underripe pineapple, stone and mint. Finishes with a ripe mineral element and very good dusty persistence. Julien Brocard told me that the team looked for "ripe minerality on the vines" in 2012. Score: 88-90 points -- Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, July 2013
Jean-Marc Brocard's Chablis expresses the pure quality of the chablisian soil brilliantly. Jean-Marc Brocard uses all his know-how to reveal the mysteries and share the pleasures of this complex soil. The result is a pure, mineral and concentrated wine, typical of its appellation.
