The 2014 Saint Joseph Le Berceau is the top red from the estate and comes from a selection of terroirs and old vines. It offers more bacon fat, ripe blackberries, peppery herbs and meatiness in a medium plus bodied, nicely focused and fresh style. Like the base cuvée, it's impeccably balanced, has nicely integrated acidity and a great finish. Drink it over the coming decade. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to taste the 2015s from Fabrice, but will report on these from bottle next year.
