"The wines of Denis Bachelet have a cult following, and Marquis Wine Cellars is really lucky to be able to have his wines in the store. Although it is his red Burgundies that have attracted the bulk of the attention, his Aligoté is the ace in his portfolio, and must not be over looked. Aligoté is Burgundy's other white grape, and when made from the right vineyard and by the right winemaker, it can be very impressive. Distinct floral aromas with notes of apricot and jasmine, It has unsual richness, depth, and concentration for an Aligoté. This wine would be a perfect pairing with poultry dishes or just alone with some good cheeses."

Clive Coates (The Wines of Burgundy): "The Denis Bachelet style produces wines of intensity, great elegance and subtlety: feminine in the best sense. They are concentrated, harmonious, pure and understated."
