Description
These 8th generation winemakers are located in Loire's Bourgueil region. They make mostly red wines and one rosé from Cabernet Franc. Careful attention is paid to the entire process, including hand harvesting, to emphasize the unique terroir of the 17 hectare vineyard.
Grapes : Cabernet Franc.
Soil : Gravel-sandy on limestone subsoil.
After 20 days of vatting, this wine has been raised for one year in barrels that are between 2 and 6 years old.
Tasting: The Coteau des Ouches is a cuvée with powerful tannins that will highlight your simmered dishes. On the nose, aromas of cherry, blackberry, and toasted almonds. The palate is deep, rich, and full-bodied. More cherry, with cocoa, and dense fleshy tannins. Structured body, slightly mineral, and long finish.
