Although Domaine des Ouches is known for its numerous Cabernet Franc bottlings, the Grande Reserve contains a bit (approx 10%) of Cabernet Sauvignon from their limited plantings per appellation rules. As its name implies, this wine stands out for its higher density and tannin levels, making it ideal for cellaring. The nose is a bit closed at first, opening up with aromas of red fruit, spice, and nuances of leathery smoke. More of the same on the fleshy, full-bodied palate, with a subtle mix of flowers and minerality completing the finish.
This wine is exclusive to Marquis Wine Cellars.
