Suggested Cuisine
Enjoy with quail, roast chicken or duck dishes.
General Characteristics
Dry / Light Bodied
Vintage Conditions
2011 was a very challenging vintage in the Riverina and throughout Victoria with some of the largest rainfalls recorded in a growing season. However, the summer ripening period was cooler and this led to long ripening periods producing great flavour and acid balance.
Winemaking
Fruit parcels were individually selected by the winemaker to maximise fruit flavour. Fruit was harvested by both hand and machine. To add complexity a variety of techniques were utilised including cold maceration, inclusion of whole bunches and warm fermentation temperatures with gentle tannin extraction.
Wine Analysis
