(100% nero d'Avola; 15% alcohol): Fully saturated ruby-red. Sweet but very fresh and complex aromas of dark plum, black cherry, fresh herbs and nutty oak. Pliant and rich but at the same time juicy and serious, with firm acidity and broad tannins contributing a solid structural framework for the clean dark cherry, ink and herbal flavors. Finishes long and smooth; though this is carrying 15% alcohol, it's not at all over the top. I especially like the fact it clearly speaks of nero d'Avola.
