This is an intense Merlot with deep red coloring. The nose presents black and red fruit aromas combined with slight hints of coffee, chocolate and sweet oak. In the
mouth it is full and concentrated with beautifully well-structured tannins.
Selected for its pumicite soil of volcanic origin, the Suelo Blanco (White Soil) Block is part of the Las Lomas Estate in the western part of the Colchagua Valley. Just 50 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean, the area is a passageway for maritime winds that blow through and lower daytime temperatures. This combined with white soils, which contain little organic material and produce vines low in vigor with highly concentrated grapes, ensure ideal ripening and wines with mature tannins without herbaceous aromas.
This is a very versatile wine, ideal for serving with roasted meats, pastas, cheeses and nuts. A few suggestions are rosemary pork chops, fillet stroganoff, lentils and vegetable pastas.
