Ciro 2021 Rosato 750ml

The Scala family acquired this estate in 1949 and continue to organically farm their 18 hectares of vines. This Ciro estate bottled rosé is produced from 100% Gaglioppo grapes. Recent DNA analysis have found that Gaglioppo is a natural hybrid of Sangiovese and Mantonico. Made entirely in stainless steel (no oak), and shows the spicy character of the indigenous grapes found in Calabria. Aromas of young berries with herbal and floral notes. Lovely saline notes on the palate, ending in a crisp berry finish. Great value.
