Chusclan 2018 Esprit du Rhone Blanc 750ml

"45% Grenache blanc, 25% Ugni blanc, 15% Clairette blanche, 10% Roussanne/Marsanne, 5% Bourboulenc. Calm, floral air, an aroma of soft pear and peach, nutty notes: quite shiny, pale yellow; the nose is restrained, runs on its fruit now, but is tightly packed – dried fruits and ginger lead the bouquet. The palate is compact, needs decanting. Gives a sense of white fruit, white jam, cooked white peach, spiced ginger again. Has a rather solid end, a complete sign-off, is a wine of intrinsic strength. Has local stamp, nice packing. There are vanilla, orange marmalade touches at the end; its assertive style is a little on the outer limit."
