High in the hills of the Corbières, in a stunning corner of south west France, Château Trillol has been the Sichel family property since 1990. At 400m above sea level, the vineyard is located in two of the Corbières terroirs: Termenès and Quéribus. Here the local grape varieties, Grenache, Syrah and Carignan (harvested by hand), result in an authentic wine that is packed with character and a strong sense of place.
"The intense colour with deep purple highlights heralds in a wine with depth and complexity. Expressive, frank nose exuding aromas of red fruit, redcurrant, blackcurrant and a hint of oak. The front-of-palate is silky, evolving over the top of discreet but well-structured tannins. Great freshness, prolonging the aromatic expression. An authentic wine." -- Winemaker
Critical Acclaim: A medium-bodied red, with herb and leather aromas, flanked by plum, black cherry and spice flavors. Presents a fresh core of clean minerality, supported by bright acidity and dusty tannins. Spice and floral notes show on the finish. Drink now. 10,000 cases made.
