Champagne Mouzon Leroux 2013 Special Club La Blanche Voie 750ml

A blend of equal parts Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the flinty, clay-limestone soils of Verzy, the 2013 Extra-Brut Grand Cru Verzy La Blanche Voie Special Club was disgorged in July 2019 without dosage. Offering up scents of citrus pith, pomelo, verbena and blanched almonds, complemented by subtle hints of ocean spray and honeycomb, it's medium to full-bodied, pillowy and intense, with a racy spine of acidity and a pure core of fruit that's complemented by a pinpoint mousse. Bone-dry but not unduly austere, it has plenty of gastronomic potential in its chiseled, mineral style.
