Produced from 100% Chardonnay and disgorged in January 2016 this excellent Blanc de Blancs pours very well with a lacy white mousse that shows great hold. Pale straw, pale gold edged base wine colour with an exceptionally fine and profuse stream of tiny bubbles flowing through it. The very refined nose shows excellent intensity with delightful yeast lees, citrus and brioche aromas jumping out of the glass followed by some toastiness and cashew notes. Light across the palate and very refreshing yet concentrated in its flavours with a subtle creaminess to the mouthfeel. Enlivening baked bread, citrus and yeast lees characters fill the mouth underpinned by roasted almonds with another burst of citrus on the crisp dry finish. Long aftertaste of citrus, baked bread, yeast lees, almonds and light toast.
