Caves São João is a third generation Bairrada-based wine producer founded in 1920. They are famously known for having a cellar stuffed with over a million bottles dating back from the 1950s to the 2000s. The Quinta do Poço do Lobo is one of several labels under the brand. It is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and a small percentage of Portuguese indigenous varieties with. It has a slight violet hue of colour and fleshy palate that oozes of plum and black currant. Intense tannins give incredible structure and propensity to age balanced out with fresh acidity.
