Castorani 2017 Scia Chardonnay Fiano 750ml

From Puglia, the “heel” of the Italian boot, this blend of 85% Chardonnay and 15% Fiano makes for a great aperitif or an accompaniment to shellfish and pasta in olive oil or a white sauce. Fiano is the star white grape of Southern Italy, and even at just 15%, it shines through with lush tropical fruit aromas and flavours, while the Chardonnay gives the wine a bracing backbone of acidity. No oak here – this is all about freshness.
