Castelvecchi 2016 Chianti Classcio "Gran Selezeione" Madonnino della Pieve 750ml

From an estate in Radda in Chianti, the Castelvecchi 2016 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Madonnino della Pieve is quite dark and concentrated, showing a very robust side of the Sangiovese grape. That density is made up of blackberry preserves, black cherry confit, tar and campfire ash. It's a lot to take in. The wine's intensity is underlined by tertiary notes of dark spice and cured tobacco. It is aged in oak for 24 months, and 7,000 bottles were made.
