Description
The Castelvecchi 2020 Chianti Classico Capotondo boasts a fruit-heavy bouquet with thick laters of dark cherry and wild plum. That primary brightness is followed by light spice and soft earthiness. Sangiovese also renders floral tones of violet or Mediterranean lavender, and you get those here, especially the latter. The alcohol content feels a bit higher in this hot vintage.
