Papa Figos is a typical red blend from the warm Duoro Valley. Dry wines are becoming more known and are usually a blend of indigenous varieties (same as those used for making Port). The Papa Figo is a blend of Touriga Nacional (15%), Touriga Franca (40%), Tinta Roriz (30%) and Tinta Barroca (15%). Without being heavy, this wine has depth and intensity of fruit. It's quite complex with loads of spice, savoury notes, dark dried fruit, and a certain smokiness. It will pair well with game, other red meats, smoked pork and hard cheeses.
