Bright, dark red. Cassis, licorice, tobacco and brown spices on the nose, along with some green suggestions of mint, menthol and herbs. Juicy, slightly peppery flavors of cherry, currant, menthol, licorice and herbs show moderate sweetness and pliancy, but the tannins are essentially ripe and gentle. A bit like a unclassified Medoc wine from a cooler year, only sweeter.
