"This is terrific value for a white Bordeaux. Côtes de Blaye lies directly north of Côtes de Bourg and produces wines that are broadly similar in style to its neighbour, if perhaps marginally more polished. The best vineyards are entitled to the appellation of Premières Côtes de Blaye. This is 100 percent Sauvignon Blanc, and was fermented in stainless steel. Giving off clear scents of citrus, lily of the valley and some clever herbal notes as well. This is an easy drinking and refreshing wine, with lots of flavour, and long finish and well balanced acidity. An ideal aperitif and great match with shellfish."
