Borgogno 2018 No Name Langhe Nebbiolo 750ml

The 2013 Langhe Nebbiolo No Name is a protest wine that has gained popular traction with Italian wine drinking millennials. The wine was first born as a Barolo made in a more approachable and softer style, but the results were declassified by the appellation authorities. No Name was born in that spirit. Nebbiolo grapes are macerated with submerged cap up to 24 days. The wine delivers on its promise of easy appeal, bright fruit flavors and soft tannins. Borgogno now buys the fruit used to make this wine. If you are looking for a no-fuss expression of Nebbiolo to drink casually within the next five years, this is a good choice.
