Deep ruby core to the rim, this wine shows youthful aromas of ripe blackberries on a back drop of campfire, menthol, and a touch of oaky accent derived from five months of aging in French and American oak barrels. On the palate, this medium-full bodied wine is dry, lush, with well integrated acid and tannin. The youthful flavors of fruit, dark berries linger in a moderately long finish. A great quality, food-friendly wine that is drinking well now.
