This 100% Malbec wine is from Mendoza's Lujan de Cuyo region. Its vines were planted mostly in the 1990s at almost a kilometer high in altitude. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel in order to lock in those fruity flavours and aromas. Then, selective malolactic fermentation smoothes the palate and makes the final wine more approachable. About a third of the wine spends time in oak for a few months before bottling. On the nose, robust aromas of jam and dark berries. Body, tannin, and acidity all medium with flavours of berries, cocoa, with hints of peppery spice. Nice length on the finish. Goes well with steak and hard cheese.
