Hailing from the Valle de Uco in the Southern Mendoza province, Azul is considered a small-size winery with operations the size of a two car garage. Located at the base of the Andes Mountains, Bodega La Azul was established by one of the oldest Argentine winemaking families who purchased the land before the Valle de Uco had water, electricity or roads. The Cabernet is a well- balanced, elegant style. It has typical cabernet aromas with some red fruit and a fresher mid-palate. Loads of tannins but well integrated, this is not a ‘monster’ wine, and will pair well with a steak, roasted pork and medium strong cheese.
