Hailing from one of the most renowned vineyards in the Colchagua, this family winery is considered a pioneer in Chilean winemaking.
The 2015 Petirrojo Reserva was partially aged in oak for 4 to 6 months to impart some spicy flavours. Intense ruby red, this wine offers lots of red fruity aromas along with a fairly complex bouquet of spices, chocolate, turmeric, black pepper, and black currant. A surprisingly deep palate reveals dominant blueberry and plum notes. The tannins are soft and enveloping; the finish, long and pleasing. Pair with grilled or braised beef.
