(includes some premier cru La Platière; not yet racked): Healthy medium red. Inviting aromas of raspberry, redcurrant, rose petal and spicy oak. Silky on entry, then distinctly firmer in the middle palate, showing dark, slightly medicinal flavors of black cherry and licorice. This classically brooding Pommard finishes with solid tannins. Benjamin Leroux noted that there was less frost here than in his village Volnay.
