The Artuke village blend is comprised of Tempranillo with a dash of 5% Viura added. Carbonic maceration is used to foreground the wine's fruity aromatic profile, which is further enhanced by maturation in concrete and stainless steel vats. On the nose, aromas of cinnamon, violets, and ripe red berries emerge. Flavours of strawberry and cherry dominate, with hints of vanilla and herbal notes. The palate is relatively liberated from tannins, so you may enjoy this fresh and pleasant wine under chill. Very food friendly and able to pair with many flavours including zucchini, soft cheese, and, of course, pizza. The previous vintage was awarded 89 points by Wine Advocate.
