Vinsanto is a naturally sweet wine, made only with sun-dried white grapes. Vinsanto 4 years barrels aged is a blend of 80% Assyrtiko, 10% Aidani and 10% Athiri. Honey colored, with flavors of dried fruits, apricot, orange zest and herbs. Balanced acidity and a long aftertaste. Ideal pairing: Foie gras, homemade fruit pies and creamy desserts (crème brullee, cheese-cake). This wine will age effortlessly for the decades to come, 30+ years.
Established in 1903, Estate Argyros is run by Matthew Argyros, 4th generation of winemakers. Based in Episkopi Santorini, the winery owns 120ha of vineyards with ungrafted - original rootstock - phylloxera safe plants averaging 70 years old, including some of the oldest vines on the island which are over 200 years old.
