Another underrated variety, Barbera is made by most Barolo producers and in both un-oaked and oaked styles. Alessandria’s Barbera is deliciously chewy, with great weight and freshness. It sees six months cask aging giving it texture and extra spice. It boasts lifted fruit and flower aromas. This is a great wine for pizza, pasta and it’s dryness is best paired with food to compliment it!
