Alvaro Palacios 2015 Priorat Gratallops "Les Terrasses" 750ml
The reliable 2015 Les Terrasses Velles Vinyes is the wine with a higher Cariñena content from the portfolio; it's 55% Garnacha, 45% Cariñena and perhaps 1% white grapes sourced from the nine villages of Priorat. The destemmed and crushed grapes fermented in oak and concrete vats with indigenous yeasts and matured in barriques for ten months. I've always liked the elegant rusticity of Les Terrasses, which in the last few years has become more ethereal. This seems to be a lighter vintage, very pure, aromatic, even floral, intense and long. This seems to be a more elegant version of Terrasses, long and silky. 136,000 bottles produced.

Beautiful nose of crushed raspberries and plums with floral and stony undertones. Slate, too. Full body, a great velvety tannin structure and wonderful harmony. Incredible purity. Long, fresh and flavorful finish. Drink now or hold.

This fresh red offers lively flavors of red plum, licorice and mountain herb, backed by bright acidity and light tannins. Gentle and inviting, with good focus and deceptive depth. Drink now through 2020. 12,000 cases made.
