"The 2010 Viognier shows one of the newer directions Alban is moving towards. In 2010 Alban did one irrigation in July to keep the canopy more robust and less deleafing than in the past, plus no batonnage on this wine. The Viognier is pretty, delicate and classy from start to finish. It shows marvelous verve and freshness in a highly appealing, mineral-driven style. It's hard to tell how much of the wine's personality reflects Alban's approach to viticulture and winemaking in 2010 and how much is the vintage itself, but the wine is unquestionably first-rate. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2016. 91-93 points"
