Doug spent the previous four years as an agent for a number of small BC organic wineries, he is familiar with the in’s and out’s of Sustainable Agriculture, Organic, and Biodynamic viticulture. He joined the Marquis Wine Cellars team in August 2008 saying he hadn’t realized that he was looking for a new job until seeing there was a vacancy at Marquis. Now at Marquis he says he is humbly approaching the challenges of the Marquis’ vast inventory, with an aspiration to learn about French wines. Doug loves to travel and has sampled wines around the world. His trips abroad have included Australia, South Africa, Antarctica, South America, and California and most everywhere in Europe. An engaging individual he likes people and loves wine, a winning combination as far as we are concerned. Doug has become a valuable member and a welcome addition to the Marquis team. Doug is actively involved in the local community as President of the Coal Harbour Resident’s Association.
