Intrigued at a young age by everything particular to the cult of Dionysus, Cole Larson; now 25 years of age, has already achieved professional certification as a chef and butcher as well as his Advanced Level WSET certificate. Cole is currently studying psychology at SFU and always makes a good case for the metaphysical and emotional benefits of the grape. His passion for wine imbues his life entirely, whether it's Retsina or Pétrus, Cole will wax profoundly about his love for wine as long as anyone lets him. Cole is looking forward to tackling the WSET diploma someday, but knows best that one's love for wine provides a truer and more balanced education. Cole is a new addition to the team at Marquis but is an old hat at the art of wine retail; working at boutiques both in his hometown of Calgary, Alberta, and over the past year in Vancouver. He is looking forward to helping you discover your next perfect bottle, but do beware: he will always try to convince you to go for the French stuff that sparkles!!
Cole is also the store's buyer of Italian wines.
Cole is also the newly appointed co-buyer for Italy and is excited to hi-light the country’s diversity and contribute to increasing the reputation and excitement for Italian wines here in B.C.
