Andrew Melville

Andrew Melville and his emerald green eyes joined us in the spring of 2003. Originally from the great wheat growing region of Southern Saskatchewan, Andrew decided to trade grains for grapes, and left the family farm in order to relocate to Vancouver. Although originally frightened by simple concepts such as indoor plumbing and electricity, it has proved to be an advantageous move on his behalf and a serendipitous move for the owner and customers of Marquis Wine Cellars. Andrew is dedicated to helping our customers make good decisions about wine purchases. He is passionate and enthusiastic about wine, and wants nothing more out of his life than to make sure the customers of the store drink the best wines possible. His now lofty credentials include accreditation from The International Sommelier Guild, as well as the WSET Advanced Level course.  He has also been voted 'Vancouver's Handsomest Wine Store Employee' for a record 4 years running.  In his off time, Andrew is an avid and accomplished cartographer; and has just returned from a scientific voyage mapping Ammassalik Island, off the eastern coast of Greenland.
