Soter North Valley Rose
2010 Soter North Valley Rose - $32.90

The 2010 North Valley Rosé is a blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris - two varietals that lend themselves to the cool climate of Oregon and to the classic conditions of the 2010 vintage. High acidity, eminent brightness and delicacy of fruit are the hallmark characters enhancing the abundant aromatics that result when co-fermenting these two grapes. A profusion of wild strawberries and cranberries, with notes of orange peel and a hint of bubblegum combine with a gentle minerality that teases the palate - yum!

Soter Vineyards North Valley Pinot Noir
2008 Soter North Valley Pinot Noir - $42.90

For the North Valley Wines, Tony has partnered with some of the area’s most meticulous and talented growers to assemble wines that reflect the region. The goal is simple: world-class, sustainably produced Pinot Noir that faithfully represents the inherent purity and delicacy that typify the wines originating in this corner of the world we call North Valley.

"Full red. Pungent aromas of black raspberry and cherry complicated by wilted rose, violet and black pepper. Pliant, palate-staining red and dark berry flavors are enlivened by peppery spice and mineral notes, with silky tannins adding shape. Becomes chewier with air and finishes with solid, sweet punch and very good clarity."

Soter Vineyards Mineral Springs Pinot Noir
2009 Soter Mineral Springs Pinot Noir - $56.90

The personality of the 2009 Mineral Springs Ranch Pinot Noir is distinct. The wine is generous and expressive, showcasing the vintage's warmer weather, with the primary fruit spectrum suggesting black cherries and cranberries, with hallmark spice box notes, hints of exotic Asian perfumes and that elusive forest floor/earthy set of characters that seem an "MSR" signature. Fine-grained tannins complement the already fleshy mid-palate which expands in aroma and texture with aeration and will continue to develop further with bottle age.

Soter Vineyards Little Creek Cabernet Franc
2005 Soter Little Creek Cabernet Franc - $84.90

"Little Creek" Vineyard is a 3-acre parcel of Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon surrounding the Soter home in Napa. It lies in a horseshoe-shaped valley to the east of the city of Napa. Many know the region as Tulocay -- a word used to describe the Native American inhabitants of a village in this small valley. Today it is called Coombsville and refers to a viticultural zone, distinct from its neighbors in Napa County in a number of important ways.

The wine carries all of Cabernet Franc's signature plushness, a grape whose wines Rabelais once compared to taffeta. Billowing from the glass come savory, meaty aromas, coffee beans, new leather, hints of milk chocolate, and those inimitable cedary, spice-box scents that make Cabernet Franc so compelling. Black fruits, fascinatingly exotic floral aromas, and structure all come from the Malbec, which makes this blend like no other in the world. The wine is very expressive, with notes of blood oranges, cherries, cassis, and raspberries. The palate typically has a core of supple tannin that suggests, in most vintages, the wine will improve for 8-12 years. Here is a Bordelais blend with its own unique signature, poised to stand among the finest produced in Napa Valley. It will pair beautifully with dishes like grilled lamb plugged with garlic and rosemary, barbecued porterhouse, and with assertive blue cheeses like mountain gorgonzola.
