"Very impressive and one of the top Châteauneuf-du-Pape blends coming out of Walla Walla, the 2007 Rôtie Cellars Southern Blend is a mix of 55% Grenache, 35% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre that‟s aged all in 2nd year barrels. The wine offers fantastic aromatics of spiced blackberries, licorice, aged meat and mocha that are wrapped around solid underlying minerality and earth notes. On the palate, it‟s medium to full bodied with impressive fruit, fresh acidity, and a rocking, savory texture that carries into a long, clean finish.
