Chateau Grillet 2010 Blanc 750ml
The 2010 vintage is stunning, crystaline with great finesse. It was produced in very small quantities and after a draconian selection of the best barrels. Château Grillet Blanc 2010 is a dry, full-bodied and aromatic Viognier, with texture and intense flavors of stone fruits (peaches and apricots). Château Grillet is located in the communes of Saint-Michel-sur-Rhone, nestled deep in the middle of the appellation Condrieu, this very specific terroir gives an often stunning wine, one of the best in France. Château Grillet is only appellation in France which is owned by one owner and grower. With an area of 3.5 hectares, it is also one of the smallest. Aromas of violets and apricots, hints of honey and almond. Palate: Round, rich and intense, very long finish.

Plumpjack 2010 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml
"The inky purple-colored 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate reveals a beautiful nose of sweet cassis, vanilla, fruitcake and a touch of graphite. Full-bodied, rich and pure, but neither overbearing nor heavy, there is plenty of tannin, but it is cushioned by extravagant fruit and ripeness. It should drink well for a minimum of 20-25 years. 94 points" - Robert Parker, Wine Advocate #209

Giuseppe Cortese 1996 Barbaresco "Rabaja" Riserva DOCG 750ml
“Made from a parcel of old vines, this wine sees 30 months of wood aging. Shows a very dark, brooding ruby color and displays an evolved intense nose of animal, leather, balsam, and tar. On the palate the wine is masculine and authoritative, full of rich dark fruit and plenty of tannins that indicate that this wine is still on the young side. This Riserva will be released for the 1999 and 2001 vintages. A tremendous wine.” 92 points, The Wine Advocate

Rossignol-Trapet 2010 Latricieres-Chambertin Grand Cru 750ml
“A deeply pitched yet refined nose speaks of cool and very fresh dark berry fruit and wet stone inflected aromas that introduce rich, concentrated and beautifully detailed medium-bodied flavors that are underpinned by notably ripe tannins and fine length on the explosive and palate staining finish. As is typically the case there is moderate austerity present but the underlying material should make this very special in time.” - The Burghound, Issue 49 94 points

Rossignol-Trapet 2010 Gevrey-Chambertin "Clos Prieur" 1er Cru 750ml
“A very fresh, cool and bright nose of both red and dark berry fruit, earth and pungent humus notes gives way to rich, concentrated and sleekly muscular flavors that possess fine delineation and punch on the firm, long and moderately austere finish. This is significantly more structured than the prior 1ers and will need at least 5 or 6 years to flesh out and 10 to 12 to shed its considerable tannins. Excellent quality here.” - The Burghound, Issue 49 92 points

Ridge 2010 Monte Bello 750ml
"The just-bottled 2010 Monte Bello combines pure structure and power in a rich, full-bodied style for this wine. Waves of dark red fruit, crushed rocks, flowers, mint and grilled herbs wrap around the long, insistent finish. Today, the 2010 is slightly more reticent than it was last year, but the wine comes to life the more it sits in the glass. Always classy, the 2010 Monte Bello impresses for its impeccable balance. Count me among those who will be thrilled to own this magnificent California classic. The 2010 is a decidedly virile, powerful Monte Bello, qualities winemaker Eric Baugher attributes to a year with a very cold summer and periods of heat that arrived only towards the tail end of the growing season. In 2010, the blend is 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2040. 96+ points" - Antonio Galloni, Wine Advocate #202

Jim Barry 2008 Shiraz "The Armagh" 750ml
"Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2008 The Armagh Shiraz opens with intense notes of kirsch, warm black cherry, black raspberry and mulberry with overtones of pepper and spice and a bit of truffles and mocha. Slightly prune-like on the very full-bodied palate, it is rich with lively acid and firm, velvety tannins. It finishes long and spicy. Drink it now to 2028+. 94 points" - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Advocate #205

Argiano 2004/2006 Solengo IGT 1.5L
This outstanding red wine is a quite recent expression of Argiano’s viticultural potential in relation to red wines made with Sangiovese. ‘Solengo’, which is Tuscan for “lone wild boar”, is the product of the combination between Tuscan soil and French grape-varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Syrah. It is the fruit of the “creation” of the internationally acclaimed former oenologist GiacomoTachis, which now continues with the work of Argiano’s team.

Bertani 2003 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOC 750ml
"The 2003 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is a big, enveloping wine loaded with wild cherries, licorice, new leather and dried flowers, not to mention considerable personality. The tannins are just a touch rough around the edges, and I am not sure they will ever soften given the heat of the vintage, but the 2003 should continue to drink well for at least a handful of years. Ideally the wine is best paired with hearty dishes. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2021. 91 points" - Antonio Galloni, Wine Advocate #193

Bertani 2001 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOC 750ml
"The 2001 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is a joyous wine to taste. This is a fairly restrained style for Amarone. Although the wine reveals limited complexity, it offers superb overall balance and an irresistible, caressing texture on the palate. The perfumed red cherry fruit is remarkably fresh for a wine of this age and the plumpness balances the wine’s tannins with notable elegance. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2018. 92 points" - Antonio Galloni, Wine Advocate #179

Clos Des Papes 2011 CDP Rouge 750ml
"One of the stars of the vintage and coming from absurdly low yields of 18 hectoliters per hectare, the 2011 Chateauneuf du Pape is a full-bodied, seamless effort that exhibits copious kirsch, ground pepper, dried flowers and underbrush as well as incredibly fine tannin, great mid-palate concentration and ample length on the finish. Relatively forward by this estate’s standards, it will be approachable at an earlier age than normal. Nevertheless, it will have 20+ years of evolution and is an awesome effort in the vintage. Drink 2015-2030. 96 points" - Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate #209

Château L'Eglise-Clinet 2007, Pomerol 750ml
"Unquestionably the Pomerol of the vintage, the dense purple-colored 2007 l’Eglise-Clinet offers an astonishing display of rich, licorice and caramel-infused kirsch, black raspberry, and cassis fruit. Rich, full-bodied, and pure, with low acidity and ripe tannin, it is already offering delicious drinking, and should continue to do so for 15-20 years. Having just had the 1997, which is not as strong a wine as this 2007, that wine, from a very mediocre vintage, is still young. Kudos to proprietor Denis Durantou. 94 points" - Robert Parker, Wine Advocate #188

Château Gracia 2007, St. Emilion 750ml
"Michel Gracia, a full-time sculptor, hits all the sweet spots on the palate with this brilliant effort made from microscopic yields of 18 hectoliters per hectare. The final blend was 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon (only 400 cases produced). This wine comes as close to the style of the famed Alain Vauthier’s Ausone as one will find in the appellation. Full-bodied with beautiful sweet blackberry and black currant fruit intermixed with forest floor, spring flowers, and graphite, it is a dense, rich, full-bodied effort without a hard edge to be found. Its nobility, refinement, and sweet tannins argue for immediate drinking, but I suspect many more nuances will emerge in 3-4 years. It should last for 12-15 years or more. 92 points" - Robert Parker, Wine Advocate #188

Champagne Jacquesson 2002 Millesime Grand Cru 750ml
The growing season of 2002 was all but perfect, and the grapes were harvested with a balance of ripeness and acid that approached that last seen in the legendary vintage of 1976. The wine has superb structure, succulent fruit, and wonderfully bright minerality. The blend is composed of Chardonnay from Avize (36%) and Chouilly (7%), and Pinot Noir from Dizy (35%), Ay (15%), and Mareuil-sur-Ay (7%). This is the last blended Vintage Champagne Jacquesson will make for the foreseeable future.

Bouchard Pere & Fils 2011 Meursault 1er Cru "Les Perrieres" 750ml
92 points Allen Meadows - Burghound "Outstanding! The wood treatment is all but invisible and easily allows the ultra-pure and elegant nose of mineral reduction, green apple, white flowers and citrus aromas to shine. There is a terrific sense of underlying tension with laser-like focus to the medium-bodied and intensely mineral-driven flavors, all wrapped in a dry and somewhat curiously, somewhat exotic finish. This is surprisingly forward compared to its usual restrained style which should allow it to drink well on the young side if desired."

Beringer 2009 PR Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml
"The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Private Reserve is a beautifully balanced wine. Firm yet well-integrated tannins frame a core of dark red berries, flowers, mint, spices and licorice. The Reserve shows lovely inner perfume and mid-palate juiciness. It should drink well with a minimum of cellaring. The main vineyards in the 2009 are Home (37%), Lampyridae (23%), Vogt (14%), Chabot (11%) and Rancho del Oso (9%). Each lot was aged separately for about two years before the final blend was assembled. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2029." - The Wine Advocate #198 93 points

L'Aventure 2011 Estate Cuvee 750ml
“A notch up on the richness scale, yet still impeccably balanced and light on the palate, the 2011 Estate Cuvee is 48% Syrah, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Petit Verdot. Deep, rich and layered, with thrilling cassis, blackberry, lead pencil, spice, spring flowers and smoke, it flows onto the palate with awesome purity, a straight focused profile and sweet tannin that emerge through the mid-palate and finish. This is not a blowsy, overdone effort, and is seamless and incredibly drinkable. It needs 2-3 years of bottle age and will have 15-20 years of longevity. Drink

“A blend of 40% Syrah, 38% Mourvedre and 22% Grenache aged in half new and half one-year-old barrels, the 2011 Cote a Cote is stunning. Full-bodied and decadent, yet oh so light on its feet and even elegant, it offers classic Paso fruit, smoked meat, chocolate and licorice as well as a seamless feel, sweet tannin and a blockbuster finish. It will have 10-12 years of ultimate longevity. Drink now-2023.”
