Made from 100% Chardonnay grown on a clay/limestone soil, the minerality of which comes though in the wine. The grapes are hand picked and fermentation takes place in oak barrles (80%) and stainless steel tanks (20%) for 10 to 20 months and there is malolctic fermentation. The wine is filtered before bottling, it's a beautiful gold colour with fruity exotic aromas. A refreshing wine, enjoyable young. Olivier Merlin is today considered to be not just one of the finest winemakers in the Maconnais but also in the whole of Burgundy.
