Daniel's wine is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Shiraz that saw 23 months in French oak of which a portion was new. Dark garnet with purple edge in colour. Red berry fruit, vanilla, roasted spice and beetroot on the nose. Same on palate with cassis and chocolate also coming through. Good acid balance gives a fresh liveliness and a fruity succulence on the mid-palate. Medium body overall, supple tannins and good length. Red meat begs for this wine as its partner.
