Nikela means “tribute or gift to one's ancestors”. This delightful wine is a blend of Pinotage (37%), Cabernet Sauvignon (34%), Shiraz (20%) and Merlot (9%). Dark garnet in colour, same edge. Blackberry, plum and dark fruits on nose, same on palate with subtle cedar box and cassis tones. Rich with good texture and depth. Balanced with good integration of acid and fruit. Supple tannins on a long finish. Imagine pairing with prime rib or rack of lamb.
