"The terrific 2009 Gigondas exhibits a dense plum/purple color as well as intense, boisterous notes of melted licorice, lavender, garrigue, kirsch and black currants. This full-bodied, luscious effort also reveals hints of barbecue smoke and charcoal. It should drink well for a decade.
