"Château Puygueraud is a highly respected Château from Bordeaux' Côtes de Francs sub-region. Of course Bordeaux is far more famous for its hearty red wines, but it's also an area where one can get some unique and flavourful rosé as well. The style of rosé here is far more structured than you'll find from most other places as this wine is made from Merlot and Cab Franc made in the saignee method. A beautiful dark pink in colour, you can smell the Bordeaux heritage in this wine with its notes of cassis, red currant and a faint hint of cedar. That leads into to a fuller-bodied wine that is bone dry and refreshing; the perfect go between of red and white wines. A good rosé like this is very versatile, and this wine will go with a huge range of foods from seafood to pork to pasta in tomato sauces." - Andrew Melville, Marquis Wine Cellars
