John Clerides tasted this wine in Seattle and was so impressed that he said that I had to find the winery while I was in South Africa. I am so glad I did. Secateurs: this line is inspired by the implement that shapes the bush vines during the winter pruning and cuts ripe grapes from the vines during harvest. The majority of the vineyards from which the grapes come are over 50 years of age. Straw with yellow tinges in colour. Fresh melon, flowers, stone fruits on the nose. Orange blossom, crisp citrus with flinty tones on the palate. Nimble with good mouth feel. Medium body in length. Can be enjoyed with slightly spicy Thai food.
