Montsant Cellar Besllum Xabec 750ml
"Celler Besllum’s opaque purple-colored 2008 Xabec is a blend of 50% Carinena and 50% Garnacha aged in new French oak for 14 months. Aromas of pain grille, mineral, lavender, black cherry, black plum, and licorice inform the nose of this already complex, concentrated Montsant. Savory, ripe, and succulent, it has enough structure to evolve for 1-2 years although this outstanding value can be approached now. 92 points" - Jay Miller, Wine Advocate #194

Canaletto 2011 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC 750ml
"Montepulciano is the great red grape of central Italy, where it produces medium bodied wines with low tannin similar to Pinot Noir. The Emotivo has a deep ruby red colour with violet highlights. As expected, the wine is soft with ripe cherry flavours, with hints of floral spice. The wine is smooth with a velvety body, soft tannins and delicious acidity. Versatile on the table as well, this will pair nicely with pasta, seafood and hors d'oeuvres." - Tasted by Kevin McKinnon Marquis Wine Cellars

Chusclan 2012 Esprit du Rhone Blanc 750ml
"45% Grenache blanc, 25% Ugni blanc, 15% Clairette blanche, 10% Roussanne/Marsanne, 5% Bourboulenc. Calm, floral air, an aroma of soft pear and peach, nutty notes: quite shiny, pale yellow; the nose is restrained, runs on its fruit now, but is tightly packed – dried fruits and ginger lead the bouquet. The palate is compact, needs decanting. Gives a sense of white fruit, white jam, cooked white peach, spiced ginger again. Has a rather solid end, a complete sign-off, is a wine of intrinsic strength. Has local stamp, nice packing. There are vanilla, orange marmalade touches at the end; its assertive style is a little on the outer limit." - Winemaker's Notes

Marques de la Musa Garnacha 750ml
Carinena is one of Europe's oldest recognized growing districts for wine and the largest subzone of northwestern Spain's Aragon wine region. Garnacha's popularity and suitability to the terroir make it the zone's favored red varietal. The vineyards sit at altitudes between 1,300 and 2,600 feet, and extreme conditions such as drought and fierce winds are tough on less hardy varietals. Often, blends include 5 percent Carinena to extend garnacha's aging potential. Fermented in stainless steel tanks, this wine exudes fragrances of fresh red berries, spice and black pepper. On the palate, taste currants, red and black cherries, plums, an herbal character and an earthy quality. Even tannins and a low acidity lead to a clean finish. Drink it with with citrusy salmon, lamb, veal, barbecue, pizza, grilled vegetables and roast fowl or game.

Vina Falernia Pedro Ximenez 750ml
Pedro Ximenez, or PX, as it is known, is a thin-skinned variety grown principally in Spain. Normally it produces very sweet juice; any sherry that is not fully dry has almost certainly been sweetened with wine made from PX grapes that have been dried in the sun. This rendition of the grape is a unique, flavourful and un-oaked. It gives off armoas of white peaches, lime and a bit of almond. The palate follows through with those flavours in a fleshy wine with fresh acid. This wine has good versatility and can be enjoyed on its own while making a great pairing for any tuna dish.

Uvaggio 2011 Vermentino 750ml
'We harvested beginning in early Sept, finishing by the end of the month, all at peak maturity - yet at relatively low brix, making this an ideal variety for a lower alcohol wine. All the lots were free-run juice (no pressing) and cool fermented in tank with a fruit enhancing strain of yeast and without a malo-lactic conversion. About 10% was aged in neutral oak for complexity. Post fermentation it was racked twice followed by a light fining, then another racking and filtration prior to bottling. Our descriptors: fresh and supple; lively yet subtle lime, quince and pear aromas; flavors of melon and stone fruits." - Winemaker's Notes
